IN-ROOM DIAGNOSIS
With her musical background, Dr van Rensburg is exceptionally adept in identifying heart murmurs and disorders and ensures accurate diagnosis through non-invasive testing that typically includes echocardiography (heart ultrasound), an exercise stress test as well as blood pressure (BP) and ECG Holter monitoring if necessary.
THEATRE PROCEDURES
In suitable cases, Dr van Rensburg performs percutaneous coronary intervention such as coronary angiography and stenting, pacemaker insertion, cardiac resynchronisation therapy, electrical cardioversions as well as implantable cardioverter-defibrillator and loop recorders.

Knowing she always wanted to go into medicine, Dr Annari van Rensburg completed her medical degree (cum laude) at Stellenbosch University followed by her internship and community service years in Klerksdorp. While she initially aspired to become a trauma surgeon, while rotating as a medical student, she was compelled by internal medicine. Taking the complaints of the patient and working towards a diagnosis sparked her inner investigator, and with her musical background, she was adept at identifying heart sounds and murmurs. This led her to a particular interest in cardiology.
